RULES
01. In order to gather ingredients, one must
post a thread in the location that is correct for
the ingredient they are trying to find. The
description of each ingredient in the following
list will give locations where that ingredient can
be found.
02. You may gather up to three ingredients per
post, and fifteen per thread. Remember that the
more rare an ingredient, the more difficult it is
to find, and therefore the less you will gather
per trip.
03. Since it would be almost impractical for
there to always be at least two characters to a
thread when gathering ingredients or crafting
something, you are allowed to simply roleplay
alone. You must clearly state that the thread
is for gathering/crafting, and that you will
be roleplaying alone, in the first post. You
must also have at least 24 hours between posts
in your thread.
04. The time it takes to craft something
is listed in IC days. However, you cannot simply
make one long post where your character spends
however many days crafting something. When
crafting, you are limited to one IC day per
post, and a maximum of five IC days per thread.
All threads and posts must still coincide with
the site timeline; If your character spends five
days in one thread, they cannot make another
thread in a different area until those five IC
days have passed.
05. Keep your character's knowledge of medicine
realistic. If you have a character who comes from
a long line of healers, they might know how to do
the more difficult recipes. If you have a character
who is attempting to explore the craft by themselves,
for the first time, without a mentor, they would
blunder through a lot of things before getting it
right. Experience in the craft can be gained by
trial-and-error, or by having a mentor to help
you along.
06. Transferring recipes by word
of mouth is fine, but specifics have to be given
for the receiving character to know the recipe
appropriately. Remember, just because someone
told you that Honeycomb and Yellow Mountain Flower
can make a sleeping potion, doesn't mean you know
the correct amounts of each nor how to combine
them properly. Also, they might have lied.
07. You do not have to be a healer to know how
to use certain ingredients. For example; Most
wolves, since the species has lived in the wild
their entire existence, know that honeycomb is
an excellent first-aid, and know how to apply
the honey to stop bleeding. This also goes for
crafting; Any wolf can learn how to craft a
recipe book, mortar and pestle, or container
(which you will find the recipes for on the
Crafting page).
08. The effects of potions and poisons are all
kept within reason. No healing potion can
magically heal wounds, and no poison can
instantly kill a character. Specifically with
poisons, there is only one that has the potential
to kill, and that is only if the affected character
doesn't get it out of their system.
09. Be wary of power-playing! A character
cannot be immune to the effects of potions
and poisons, they cannot know they are being
poisoned/healed without proper IC
knowledge/suspicion, and no character may
be poisoned to death by another without permission
from the roleplayer.
10. Some of the ingredients available for use
have addictive or hallucinogenic qualities. Using
any ingredient to manufacture and/or distribute a
drug is prohibited. We do not take substance abuse
lightly, and a ban can result from breaking this
rule.
11. If you have anything you want to see added
to the ingredients list or recipe list, feel free
to post in the Contact The Staff board with what
and at least two reasons why for each thing. We
want nothing more than to see our lists full of
your ideas! It should be noted that the ingredients
are taken from the game Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim,
which is a mix of real and fictitious. All crafting
items must be made of natural materials (rock, wood,
etc.) and must be able to be crafted with paws and
simple tools (and some imagination haha).
INGREDIENTS
Blisterwort: A small mushroom with a gray stalk
and a rust-colored cap.
Location: Blisterwort grows in clumps of
four to ten mushrooms, all varying 'ages,'
and are found in swampy areas. The
clusters tend to stick to the nooks and crannies
beneath mangrove trees, preferring shade and
dampness.
Uses: The rust-colored cap of
Blisterwort is poisonous if ingested. The cap
is tasteless and can be cut or ground and
mixed with food to create an undetectable
poison. The effects of Blisterwort cap vary
from animal to animal, but for canines it
is known to induce severe stomach cramps,
vomiting, and diarrhea. The symptoms take
about an hour to appear, and will last for as
long as the cap is in the canine's digestive
tract.
The gray stalk of Blisterwort isn't poisonous,
and can be eaten relatively safely. Ingesting
the stalk will cause drowsiness and
disorientation as soon as it hits the stomach.
The affected canine may not fall asleep, but
their reaction time will decrease drastically
and their thinking might be skewed. The
effects don't last for long, however, and
usually wear off once the stalk exits the
stomach and enters the intestines.
Blue Mountain Flower: An eye-catching blue
flower that grows in large clusters.
Location: Though the name suggests it
is found in the mountains, the flower can
actually be found throughout the land. The
plant grows in large clusters, with perhaps
five or six actual flowers, and does best in
full sunlight.
Uses: The head of the Blue Mountain
Flower can be a very potent pain reliever.
To release its full potential, the flower
must be ground to a pulp and mixed with water
to create a soup, but the flower itself can
also be eaten without preparation. The petals
of the plant promote healing if applied
directly to a wound, having a natural
antibiotic attribute that keeps infection
at bay.
Canis Root: Hard scraggly roots of the Canis
plant.
Location: The Canis plant is only found
in the most arid of places, and only in the most
rocky parts of those places. It prefers full sun, little water,
and lots of rocks to snake its roots through.
The plant doesn't flower, instead looking much
like a twisted dead tree with a thick trunk and
barren branches--save for the fact it is, at
max, two feet tall. The roots, the essential
part of the plant, can be difficult to harvest
as rocks must be moved to extract them.
Uses: The tough woody roots are
extremely poisonous. When ingested raw, the roots
cause delirium--fever, restlessness, and
hallucinations--often leading the affected
canine to injure itself or others. The effects
of the plant can last anywhere from 24 to 72
hours, relative to the amount ingested. Canis
root is also very addictive, and after the
effects wear off, symptoms of withdrawal set
in.
Creep Cluster: Stark red vines cut from a
surface-dwelling plant called a Creeper.
Location: The Creeper plant can only be
found in the hottest part of arid places.
The plant is red, blending with the rock on
which it thrives, and its vines are long and
thin. One of the reasons it is difficult to
obtain, aside from location, is the fact
that venomous snakes inhabit the same nooks
and crannies as the plant, making its
gathering dangerous. One plant will have
a multitude of vines, spreading as far as
three feet in any direction. Younger plants
are more of an orange color, and more mature
plants are a deep maroon.
Uses: The vines of the Creeper plant
have a very unique effect. They are not toxic,
so long as you don't ingest a large amount
of them at one time, but instead simply
calms one's anxiety. Whether the patient
suffers from an anxiety disorder, or is
simply having a stressful day, a small
Creep Cluster will take away their worries
without impairing their mind or body. The
effects have been described as 'not taking
away the worry, but allowing one to face
them calmly.' Younger vines are weaker
in potency, and are most commonly used
as a daily medication, or mixed in with
other ingredients. Mature vines are very
potent and are often used to quell panic
attacks and the like.
Frost Mirriam: A small plant with broad leaves.
Location: This fickle little plant can
only be found in the forests, hiding along
the floor. It prefers low-light conditions
of shady groves full of other foliage, and
is often difficult to spot because of this.
Once found, one must take care to take only
the darkest leaves. Harvesting of new leaves,
those that are light green in color, can
stunt the plant's growth and even kill it.
Uses: Frost Mirriam is a muscle
relaxant. When used in small doses, it can
loosen tight joints and muscles, sooth
muscle-related aches and pains, and even
allow one to move more agilely through the
world for a short time. In larger doses,
however, this tiny plant can act as a
paralytic, and complete immobilize a canine.
This includes stopping the heart, as the
heart is a muscle, so proper dosage must
always be used.
Garlic: A strong-smelling clove containing
multiple small bulbs within.
Location: Garlic, when grown wild,
sticks to damp and fertile soil. This means
that it can usually be found in forests,
typically in shallow dips where pine needles
or leaves create a blanket that hold moisture
in the earth. It is rare under normal
circumstances, and even harder to find due to
the weed-like appearance of its leaves. The
bulb hides beneath the ground, leaving only
small spiky leaves as an indication of its
presence.
Uses: Garlic is a widely known and
very powerful antibiotic, as well as a
strong seasoning for food. A single clove
of garlic provides multiple bulbs, each of
which is more than a full dose of
antioxidants, natural vitamins, and
antibiotics. If taken regularly, Garlic is
proven to boost one's immune system to help
prevent sickness and infection. When used in
conjunction with other ingredients, Garlic
can help keep infection at bay, and aid in
the healing process. A stuffy nose can be
cleared temporarily by crushing a bulb and
inhaling its strong odor.
Grass Pod: The seed pod to the Spiky Grass
plant.
Location: Spiky Grass is a weed, plain
and simple. That said, it still requires a
fair amount of moisture to flourish, and
therefore can not be found in the more arid
regions of the land. Caution is advised
when one goes to harvest the seed pod as,
given that the plant is a weed, it has many
tiny spikes along both the stem and the
leaves, each one coated in a naturally
irritating balm. Once one is stuck by the
Spiky Grass, they might itch for an hour
or more, even with a roll in water. It is
not recommended that one attempt to lick
where they have been stuck, as the balm
will simply spread to one's tongue and
cause further irritation.
Uses: Even though Spiky Grass is a
weed, it is actually quite useful. Ingestion
of the seed pod (after a good scrubbing, that
is) will help settle an upset stomach. The
interior of the pod is made of tiny seeds
attached to thin paper-like strands that are
meant to catch the breeze and carry the seed
to a new planting location. The many strands
within even one seed pod readily soak up
extra stomach acid to help calm it. The seed
pod is often used as a first-aid treatment
for those who have ingested some sort of
toxin. The pod will immediately begin soaking
the poison from one's stomach while further
medication can be crafted.
Honeycomb: Tender combs filled with honey,
extracted from a beehive.
Location: Hives can be found all across
the land, in every nook and cranny.
Ground bees are prevalent in plains,
making their hives in burrows beneath the
soil. In mountains, desert, and badlands
the bees find nooks in the rocks to make their
home, and bees hang their hives from branches
in swamps and forests. Be wary, a
colony of angry bees is enough to fell even
a wolf with its sting.
Uses: The honeycomb itself can be
eaten to help boost one's immune system and
promote healing. The honey can be directly
applied to wounds and, since it is a natural
coagulant, will help stop bleeding. Being that
beehives can be found all over, honeycomb is a
very efficient first-aid ingredient. When
mashed, honeycomb can create a perfect base
for many balms or potions.
Juniper Berries: A small blue berry coated
with a thin layer of white powder, the fruit of the
Juniper Bush.
Location: Similar to pine trees, the
Juniper Bush has thin needle-like leaves
that grow in great quantities. It thrives
in pine forests, alongside its taller
cousins, and makes up the majority of the
forest's foliage. The bushes, and consequently
the berries, are plentiful and easily
harvested. Simply snap off a small branch
that has the desired number of berries,
or pick berries one at a time.
Uses: While most blue colored berries
are safe to eat, the Juniper Berry would give
you a terrible case of wet-tail. The berries
act as a laxative, clearing out one's
digestive tract readily. This can be very
useful if a toxic substance has been ingested,
but it can also be dangerous. Wet-tail can
be a serious condition that leads to
dehydration and possibly death.
Lavender: An aromatically pleasing flower that
is also visually stunning.
Location: Preferring lots of sun and
loamy soil, Lavender can only be found in the
plains areas, but is quite abundant
throughout. The plant grows with multiple
flowers and a single trip can yield a large
sample.
Uses: The scent of Lavender is perhaps
the best pain and stress reliever on the
earth. The petals can be ground to produce
an essential oil which is stronger in aroma
and can be applied to one's sleeping area.
Those who spend time inhaling the aroma can
feel stress lift from their shoulders and pain
lessen its grip. It is so soothing, some say,
that it can even put one to restful sleep.
It should be noted that it takes at least
six flowers to produce even a small sample of
essential oil.
Namira's Rot: An abundant mushroom often
mistaken for Blisterwort.
Location: This mushroom can be found
in all places in the land. It thrives in
both swampy and arid conditions, uncaring of
sandy or rocky soil. Wherever there is
moisture at least once a year, and some shade
once a day, this mushroom can be found.
Given its hardy nature, it is very easy to
gather a large quantity without traveling far.
It is difficult, however, to tell the
difference between Namira's Rot and
Blisterwort--one must have a trained eye to
see the small vein-like lines in the cap of
Namira's Rot that Blisterwort lacks.
Uses: Namira's Rot is a very powerful
hallucinogenic, and extremely addictive.
Ingesting it even one time can lead to an
immediate addiction, and withdraw from this
mushroom is hell on earth. Given its
remarkably similar appearance to Blisterwort,
Namira's Rot is often mistaken for
Blisterwort and wrongly ingested.
Nightshade: An attractive purple flower that
grows on thin straight stalks.
Location: Nightshade prefers damp
fertile soil, and is therefore the most
abundant in marshy areas. However,
Nightshade can also be found in plains and
forests, hugging close any water sources.
The plant grows by itself with a straight
stalk and a beautiful purple flower.
Nightshade is not tolerant of itself and
therefore the plants are spaced some distance
apart.
Uses: Deadly Nightshade is the single
most poisonous plant in the land. Every
part of it is dangerous to ingest, and will
cause almost immediate fever, hallucinations,
and excruciating stomach pain. The most
dangerous aspect of Nightshade is that it
causes the affected canine to feel as though
they can neither vomit nor defecate, and
therefore the toxin remains in their system.
If the toxin stays in the body for more than
24 hours, death may occur.
Rock Warbler Egg: A pale green egg with brown
splotches that is laid by the Rock Warbler.
Location: As the name of the parent
animal suggests, the Rock Warbler's nest
can be found in the rocky parts the land.
The warbler prefers to hide its nest between
multiple rocks, out of view of land creatures
but likes to leave the top open for quick
take-offs. The Rock Warbler lays anywhere
from one to three eggs, and will lay
year-round, making their eggs a ready
resource.
Uses: The yolk of the Rock Warbler egg
can be a very useful ingredient. Ingesting it
raw promotes healing due to its richness in
protein and other essential nutrients. When
applied directly to a wound, the yolk has
antibacterial properties and will keep
infection at bay. The shell of the egg can
also be used, as both a container and an
ingredient. When ground and ingested, it can
also help boost the immune system.
Yellow Mountain Flower: A stunning yellow
flower that rivals the audacity of the Dandelion.
Location: The Yellow Mountain Flower is
rare, despite the fact that it grows both in
and around mountains and across plains.
It is a plant that grows close to the ground
in small clusters, mimicking the much more
abundant Dandelion. That similarity to the
common weed, combined with the fact that it
is very rare, makes the Yellow Mountain Flower
difficult to find and collect. Even more so,
the flower only grows in pairs.
Uses: The petals of the Yellow Mountain
Flower are a very powerful healing agent.
They have natural pain-relieving and
antibacterial properties which, when a petal
is applied directly to a wound or ground and
mixed with water to create a paste, can clear
a wound of infection and aid its recovery.
If the petals are ingested, the antibiotics of
the flower spread throughout the body,
speeding up the healing of wounds and boosting
the immune system. It is said that Yellow
Mountain Flower is the only thing that can
halt and even reverse the effects of Deadly
Nightshade.

Crafting: Grind the petals of a single
head of the Blue Mountain Flower in a mortar
and pestle until they are pulp. Place in one
paw's worth of honeycomb and grind. Once the
two are well ground and mixed, add water until
it is a drinkable liquid.
Effects: This potion will help minimally
boost the immune system and aid in the healing
of wounds or illness, speeding recovery time
slightly. The potion will have a sweet taste
from the honey.
Shelf Life: This potion may be stored
in a covered container and will remain viable
for two weeks. After two weeks, it will spoil
and its effects will become null.
Simple Healing Balm: Creates Minor Healing
Balm.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container
Ingredients: 1 Blue Mountain Flower,
1 Honeycomb
Time: This recipe will take five minutes
to make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Grind the petals of a single
head of the Blue Mountain Flower in a mortar
in pestle until they are pulp. Place in one
paw's worth of honeycomb and grind. Once the
two are well ground and mixed, apply directly
to a wound.
Effects: This balm will help slightly
stop the bleeding of a wound and prevent only
minor infection. It will be quite sticky from
the honey, and will naturally dissolve as the
body heals itself.
Shelf Life: The balm may be stored in a
covered container and will remain viable for
two weeks. After two weeks, it will spoil and
its effects will become null.
Simple Poison: Creates Minor Poison.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container
Ingredients: 1 Blisterwort, water
Time: This recipe takes one night, or
nine hours, to make, not including the
gathering of materials.
Crafting: Grind one cap of Blisterwort
until it is a very fine pulp. Add just enough
water and mix to make it a gravy-like
consistency. Transfer to container and allow
to sit uncovered overnight, or for
approximately nine hours. Drizzle over food
to create a tasteless poison.
Effects: This poison will cause mild
vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps in the
affected canine. Since the mushroom has
already been broken down, the symptoms will
appear in half an hour, and last for one hour
after the poison has left the canine's
digestive tract.
Shelf Life: The poison may be stored in
a covered container, and will remain viable
for three days. After three days, it will
spoil and its effects will become null.
Simple Sleeing Potion: Creats Minor Sleeping
Potion.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container
Ingredients: 1 Blisterwort, water
Time: This recipe takes one hour to
make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Grind one stalk of
Blisterwort into a pulp. Add water, mix
gently, and allow to sit for one hour.
Drizzle over food or simply ingest for a
tasteless potion.
Effects: This sleeping potion is not
enough to put one directly to sleep, but
instead will encourage it. One will feel
drowsy and disoriented. If given to someone
who is wounded and in need of rest, it will
help them fall asleep so that their body might
recover. The effects will last until the
potion leaves the affected canine's digestive
tract.
Be warned, those who are panicked will fight
the effects of the potion and, due to the
disorientation, may end up hurting themselves
or others in their confusion.
Shelf Life: This potion may be stored
in a covered container, and will remain
viable for one week. After one week, it will
spoil and its effects will become
null.
Simple Paralysis Potion: Creates Minor
Paralysis Potion.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container
Ingredients: 1 Frost Mirriam, water
Time: This recipe takes ten minutes to
make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Grind one paw's worth of
Frost Mirriam to a pulp in your mortar.
Add enough water to make a drinkable
solution, and mix thoroughly.
Effects: This paralysis potion acts as
a light muscle relaxant, helping those with
stiff limbs gain more flexibility, or helping
to relax sore and aching muscles. It is not
harmful if taken daily, and is useful for
keeping muscles from stiffening if taken
before sleeping.
Shelf Life: This potion may be stored
in a covered container, and will remain
viable for two weeks. After two weeks, it
will spoil and its effects will become
null.
Simple Calming Potion: Creates Minor Calming
Potion
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container
Ingredients: 1 Creep Cluster, water
Time: This recipe takes fifteen minutes
to make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Grind one half-paw's worth of
dried Creep Cluster to a fine dust. Add enough
water and mix to create a thick paste. Mix the
paste thoroughly, grinding away any clumps
and ensuring all of the dust has been
soaked.
Add enough water to make a drinkable solution,
and mix thoroughly. Transfer to a covered
container and shake very well. Always shake
before ingesting.
Effects: This calming potion starts
acting in as little as fifteen minutes. It
helps calm only small anxieties the affected
may be experiencing, and does not impair the
mind or body. It is safe for daily use, and
is often more palatable than the raw Creep
Cluster itself.
Shelf Life: This potion may be stored
in a covered container, and will remain viable
for three weeks. After three weeks, it will
spoil and its effects will become
null.
INTERMEDIATE RECIPES
Intermediate Healing Potion: Creates Medium
Healing Potion.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container, 2 stones
Ingredients: 1 Blue Mountain Flower,
1 Honeycomb, 1 Lavender, water
Time: This recipe will take one day to
make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Grind the petals of a single
head of Blue Mountain Flower and one paw's
worth of Honeycomb to a pulp. Place the
mixture in a container and set aside.
Roll two stones into a fire to create
fire-stones (stones that are red hot).
Grind the stem and leaves of one Lavender
plant into a pulp. Add enough water to make
a soup. Take a fire-stone and drop it into
the soup, careful not to burn yourself,
so that the concoction boils. Once that
stone begins to cool, remove it, place it
back in the fire, and place the other one in.
Repeat this process so that the soup will boil
for one hour. Do not add more water, allow
it to evaporate naturally.
Once the soup has boiled down, add the Blue
Mountain Flower and Honeycomb mixture to it,
and mix well. Add enough water to make it a
drinkable solution and mix again.
Effects: This potion will aid in the
healing of wounds, relieving a moderate amount
of pain, and boosting the immune system. To
get the best affect, one must drink half of
the potion in the morning, and the other half
in the evening.
Shelf Life: This potion can be stored
in a covered container, and will remain viable
for 10 days. After 10 days, it will spoil and
its effects will become null.
Intermediate Healing Balm: Creates Medium
Healing Balm.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container, 2 stones
Ingredients: 1 Blue Mountain Flower,
1 Honeycomb, 1 Lavender
Time: This recipe will take four hours
to make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Grind the petals of a single
head of Blue Mountain Flower and one paw's
worth of Honeycomb to a pulp. Place the
mixture in a container and set aside.
Roll two stones into a fire to create
fire-stones (stones that are red hot).
Grind the stem and leaves of one Lavender
plant into a pulp. Add enough water to make
a soup. Take a fire-stone and drop it into
the soup, careful not to burn yourself, so
that the concoction boils. Once that stone
begins to cool, remove it, place it back in
the fire, and place the other one in. Repeat
this process so that the soup will boil for
three hours. Do not add more water, allow it
to evaporate naturally.
Once the soup has boiled down, add the Blue
Mountain Flower and Honeycomb mixture to it,
and mix well. If mixture is still soupy,
add another half-paw's worth of Honeycomb
and mix. Once it has reached a balmy
consistency, apply directly to a wound.
Effects: This balm will help moderately
stop the bleeding of a wound and prevent
moderate infection. It will be quite sticky
from the honey, and will naturally dissolve
as the body heals itself.
Shelf Life: This balm can be stored in
a covered container, and will remain viable
for two weeks. After two weeks, it will spoil
and its effects will become null.
Intermediate Poison: Creates Medium Poison.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container, 2 stones
Ingredients: 1 Blisterwort, 2 Creep
Cluster, water
Time: This recipe will take four days
to make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Set one cap of Blisterwort in
a warm dry area and allow it to dry out. This
takes a minimum of 5 hours of direct sunlight,
or 4 hours next to a fire.
Take the now-dry cap of the Blisterwort and
grind into a powder. Transfer to a container
and set aside.
Roll two stones into a fire to create
fire-stones (stones that are red hot).
Cut two Creep Clusters into small chunks in
your mortar. Add enough water to create a
soup. Take a fire-stone and drop it into the
soup, careful not to burn yourself, so that
the concoction boils. Once that stone begins
to cool, remove it, place it back in the fire,
and place the other one in. Repeat this
process so that the soup will boil for three
hours. Continue to add water to keep it at a
drinkable consistency.
Once the Creep Cluster has finished boiling,
add the powdered cap of Blisterwort and mix
gently. Allow the concoction to sit for three
days. Mix before using.
Effects: This poison will cause
moderate stomach cramping, vomiting, and
diarrhea. On top of that, the amount of Creep
Cluster used in the poison will cause
listlessness in the affected. If one doesn't
have someone else to look out for them, they
simply won't care they are sick, and take no
action to fix it, leaving them vulnerable to
further illness or possible attack. This
poison will last for a minimum of three
hours.
Shelf Life: This poison may be stored
in a covered container, and will remain viable
for three days. After three days, it will
spoil and its effects will become
null.
Intermediate Sleeping Potion: Creates Medium
Sleeping Potion.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container, 2 stones
Ingredients: 1 Blisterwort, 2 Lavender,
water
Time: This recipe will take three hours
to make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Grind one stalk of the
Blisterwort into a pulp. Transfer to a
container and set aside.
Roll two stones into a fire to create
fire-stones (stones that are red hot).
Gently mash the petals of two heads of
Lavender, just enough to release their aroma.
Add enough water to create a soup. Take a
fire-stone and drop it into the soup, careful
not to burn yourself, so that the concoction
boils. Once that stone begins to cool, remove
it, place it back in the fire, and place the
other one in. Repeat this process so that the
soup will boil for one hour.
Add the pulp of the Blisterwort stalk to the
mixture and stir gently. Allow to sit in the
mortar for two hours. Transfer to a covered
container and shake before using.
Effects: This sleeping potion is not
enough to put one directly to sleep, but will
greatly encourage it. One will feel very
drowsy and relaxed. The Lavender will help
to lift away stress, allowing one to relax
not only in body, but in mind as well. The
effects will last until the potion leaves the
affected canine's digestive tract.
Shelf Life: This potion may be stored
in a covered container, and will remain viable
for five days. After five days, it will spoil
and its effects will become null.
Intermediate Paralysis Potion: Creates Medium
Paralysis Potion.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container, 2 stones
Ingredients: 1 Blisterwort, 1 Frost
Mirriam, water
Time: This recipe will take one hour to
make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Roll two stones into a fire
to create fire-stones (stones that are red
hot).
Add one stalk of Blisterwort to your mortar.
Do not grind. Add enough water to create a
soup. Take a fire-stone and drop it into the
soup, careful not to burn yourself, so that
the concoction boils. Once that stone begins
to cool, remove it, place it back in the fire,
and place the other one in. Repeat this
process so that the soup will boil for one
half hour.
Once the soup is finished boiling, transfer
the mixture to an uncovered container and set
aside. Grind one and a half paw's worth of
Frost Mirriam in your mortar. Add back the
Blisterwort mixture and stir. Shake well
before using.
Effects: This paralysis potion is quite
potent. It not only helps to relax greater
muscle sores, allowing one to rest, but the
stalk of Blisterwort causes drowsiness, and
slight disorientation, creating a sort of
lethargy. This potion is best used on those
who need aid but do not want it.
Shelf Life: This potion may be stored
in a covered container, and will remain viable
for one week. After one week, it will spoil
and its effects will become null.
Intermediate Calming Potion: Creates Medium
Calming Potion.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container
Ingredients: 1 Creep Cluster,
2 Lavender, water
Time: This recipe takes one hour to
make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Grind one paw's worth of
dried Creep Cluster in your mortar. Add two
heads of Lavender and grind to a fine dust.
Mix thoroughly, ensuring that the Lavender
petals are completely ground.
Add enough water to make a drinkable
solution. Transfer to a covered container and
shake well. Always shake before ingesting.
Effects: This calming potion helps to
ease many common anxieties and stresses, and
does not impair the mind or body. It is best
used only once weekly, as using it more often
can upset the chemical balances of the
affected.
Shelf Life: This potion may be stored
in a covered container, and will remain viable
for three weeks. After three weeks, it will
spoil and its effects will become
null.
COMPLEX RECIPES
Complex Healing Potion: Creates Major Healing
Potion.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container, 2 stones
Ingredients: 1 Garlic, 1 Rock Warbler Egg,
1 Yellow Mountain Flower, water
Time: This recipe takes three days to
make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Roll two stones into a fire
to create fire-stones (stones that are red
hot).
Grind the petals of one head of Yellow
Mountain Flower into a pulp. Grind an entire
clove of Garlic into a pulp. Add water to make
a sort of soup. Take a fire-stone and drop it
into the soup, careful not to burn yourself,
so that the concoction boils. Once that stone
begins to cool, remove it, place it back in
the fire, and place the other one in. Repeat
this process so that the soup will boil for
two hours. After the soup has finished
boiling, place it into a covered container
and set it aside for three days.
After three days, grind one Rock Warbler Egg,
yolk and shell, until you have a smooth
liquid. Add the Yellow Mountain Flower and
Garlic soup to the Rock Warbler Egg liquid
and mix well. Add enough water to make a
drinkable solution.
Effects: This potion works as a very
potent healing potion with a bitter taste,
greatly boosting the immune system and
cutting recovery time sharply. In order to
reap its full benefits, one must have one
swallow of the potion three times a day
(morning, noon, and night), until the potion
is gone.
Shelf Life: This potion can be stored
in a covered container, and will remain viable
for one week. After one week, it will spoil
and its effects will become null.
Complex Healing Balm: Creates Major Healing
Balm.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container, 2 stones
Ingredients: 1 Honeycomb, 1 Rock Warbler
Egg, 1 Yellow Mountain Flower
Time: This recipe takes three days to
make, not including the gathering of
materials.

liquid. Add the Yellow Mountain Flower soup
to the Rock Warbler Egg liquid and mix. Next,
add one paw's worth of honeycomb and grind it
into a sticky mash.
Effects: This balm works as a very
potent antibacterial salve and a coagulant.
Simply apply to a wound to stop bleeding,
prevent infection, and relieve pain. The
balm will dissolve as the body heals.
Shelf Life: This balm can be stored in
a covered container, and will remain viable
for two weeks. After two weeks, it will spoil
and its effects will become null.
Complex Poison: Creates Major Poison.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container
Ingredients: 1 Blisterwort, 2 Canis Root,
water
Time: This recipe takes two weeks to
make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Break two Canis Root apart
so that they will fit into a container. Add
water until the container is half full. Cover
and allow to sit for one week.
Grind one cap of Blisterwort until it is a
very fine pulp. Add just enough water and
mix to make it a gravy-like consistency.
Transfer to container and allow to sit
uncovered overnight, or for approximately
nine hours.
After both ingredients have been sitting for
the appropriate amount of time, place the now
water-swollen Canis Root into the mortar. Do
not discard the extra water from the
container--it will be used later. Grind the
Canis Root into a mash.
Add the Blisterwort pulp to the Canis Root
mash and mix well. Add the water from the
Canis Root container and mix into a smooth
liquid. Place the poison into a covered
container and allow to sit for one week.
Effects: This poison is among the most
potent that can be crafted--next to the raw
power of Deadly Nightshade, mind you. It will,
once ingested, induce delirium--fever,
restlessness, and hallucinations--as well as
vomiting, diarrhea, and severe stomach
cramps. The affected canine may lose all
cognitive abilities, reverting back to
instinct, and, in nearly every case, becomes
a lethal danger to those around them. The
effects on the mind will only last four hours
at most, but the physical symptoms will
persist for a day or more.
Shelf Life: This poison can be stored
in a covered container, and will remain viable
for three days. After three days, it will
spoil and its effects will become
null.
Complex Sleeping Potion: Creates Major Sleeping Potion.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container, 2 stones
Ingredients: 1 Blisterwort, 1 Frost
Mirriam, 1 Honeycomb, 6 Lavender, water
Time: This recipe takes one week to
make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Roll stones into a fire to
create fire-stones (stones that are red
hot).
Add water into your mortar until it is
half-full. Place six Lavender flower-heads
into the mortar. Stir gently twice to coat
the flowers with water. Add a fire-stone so
that the water boils. Place a broad leaf or
stone over the mortar to hold in the moisture.
Once the fire-stone begins to cool, remove
it, place it back into the fire, and place
the other one in to keep the water at a
constant boil. Repeat this process until the
flowers have shriveled up--this usually takes
two days of constant tending. Do not add more
water, simply allow it to evaporate
naturally.
Once the flower-heads have shriveled, remove
them. Pour the remaining essential oil into
a container. Cover and allow to cool for one
hour.
Grind one stalk of Blisterwort and one paw's
worth of Frost Mirriam into a pulp. Add water,
mix gently, and allow to sit for one hour.
Add one paw's worth of Honeycomb to the
Blisterwort and Frost Mirriam pulp and grind
into a mash. Add the Lavender essential oil.
Add water and mix into a smooth liquid.
Effects: This is a very potent sleeping
potion. Drowsiness sets in only five minutes
after ingestion, and is powerful enough to
sedate a bear. The taste is an odd mixture of
bitter and sweet, but isn't unpleasant. The
effects of the potion will last for a full 24
hours, allowing the affected to wake briefly
to eat and drink to keep their health up, but
remain drowsy enough to fall back to sleep
easily. With the addition of the pain- and
stress-relieving Lavender, and the muscle
relaxing Frost Mirriam, this potion will allow
the affected canine to sleep peacefully.
Shelf Life: This potion can be stored
in a covered container, and will remain viable
for five days. After five days, it will spoil
and its effects will become null.
Complex Paralysis Potion: Creates Major
Paralysis Potion.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container, 2 stones
Ingredients: 1 Blisterwort, 2 Creep
Cluster, 2 Frost Mirriam, water
Time: This recipe takes one day to
make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Roll two stones into a fire
to create fire-stones (stones that are red
hot).
Add one stalk of Blisterwort to your mortar.
Do not grind. Add enough water to create a
soup. Take a fire-stone and drop it into the
soup, careful not to burn yourself, so that
the concoction boils. Once that stone begins
to cool, remove it, place it back in the fire,
and place the other one in. Repeat this
process so that the soup will boil for three
hours.
Once the soup is finished boiling, transfer
the mixture to an uncovered container and set
aside. Grind two paws' worth of Frost Mirriam,
and two paws' worth Creep Clusters, to a fine
dust in your mortar. Add back the Blistwort
mixture and stir. Transfer to a covered
container and allow to sit for one night, or
9 hours. Shake well before using.
Effects: This paralysis potion acts as
an extreme muscle relaxant. It takes all
strength from your limbs, leaving you unable
to stand or move more than a few inches. Not
only does it sap your mobility, it also
affects your mind; The Blisterwort disorients,
causing only patchy memory at best, and the
Creep Cluster takes away any worries one might
have over the entire situation. This potion
leaves one completely vulnerable, putting them
in grave danger. Not just from attack, but
also because if the dosage is over by just a
quarter-paw, it can cause one's heart to slow
dangerously, or, in rare cases, stop
altogether.
Shelf Life: This potion may be stored
in a covered container, and will remain
viable for three days. After three days, it
will spoil and its effects will become
null.
Complex Calming Potion: Creates Major Calming
Potion.
Tools Needed: Mortar and Pestle, 1 covered
container, 2 stones
Ingredients: 2 Creep Cluster, 1 Frost
Mirriam, 1 Honeycomb, 3 Lavender, water
Time: This recipe takes three days to
make, not including the gathering of
materials.
Crafting: Grind two paws worth of
Creep Clusters, and three heads of Lavender,
to a fine dust in your mortar. Transfer to
a container and set aside.
Roll two stones into a fire to create
fire-stones (stones that are red hot).
Crush a half-paw's worth of Frost Mirriam,
releasing the plant's natural juices. Add
water enough to make a thick soup. Take a
fire-stone and drop it into the soup, careful
not to burn yourself, so that the concoction
boils. Once that stone begins to cool, remove
it, place it back in the fire, and place the
other one in. Repeat this process so that the
soup will boil for five hours. Do not add
water, allow it to evaporate naturally.
Add one paw's worth of Honeycomb to the
reduced Frost Mirriam soup and mash. Add
in the Creep Cluster and Lavender dust and
mix well. Transfer to a covered container
and allow to sit for two days.
When ready to use, add enough water to make
a drinkable solution, and shake well.
Effects: This potion is a very potent
mental-relaxer. It calms any and all stresses
or worries, calming one to the point of
lethargy. It is best to be careful when using
it, as an overdose can cause the affected to
care so little that they won't eat or drink,
and may potentially put themselves in great
danger of dehydration and malnutrition.
Shelf Life: This potion can be stored
in two states. If stored prior to adding water
to create a drinkable solution, it must
remain in a covered container, and will remain
viable for one week. After one week, it will
spoil and its effects will become null.
If stored after adding water to create a
drinkable solution, it must remain in a
covered container, and will remain viable for
three days. After three days, it will spoil
and its effects will become null.
